Quinua - Across Peru, graveyards are filled by families on the first day of November. This is the Day of the Dead. It is a time of rememberance for those who have passed and of community for those who still live. Familes from kilometers around gathered In this little graveyard and lit candles in front of the weather beaten crosses. There was quiet reflection but there was celebration as well. Vendors sold food and beer while music blared from speakers hung across the gates.
