Narihualá - The green church sits atop the hill in Narihualá above the flat flood plain of the Puira River. The half-excavated remains of an ancient city lie at the foot of the hill an acknowledgment of the importance of this place over centuries. The old church is sun bleached, wind blown and crumbling. The hill itself is slowly washing away in the torrential rains that sweep through this region in the winter. Crude crosses that are slowly sliding down the hill mark the graveyard on the side of the church.
