La
Encantada –
Only about a hundred families live in this little hamlet just a short
stroll from the Piura River. Everyone here works in some way with the
natural clay for which the region is famous. Many people of the town leave
during the day to work in the brick yards, gather water for the potter
or cut firewood for the kilns. But the open doors along the two dirt streets
reveal familes working at crafting the ceramics that will be sold at markets
across the region. |
