Chiclayo
– On
almost any given Sunday in almost any city in Peru you can happen upon
a parade. Typically these are made up of uniformed students marching to
the school bands. Local panjandrums gather in elevated seating areas to
watch the procession while residents line the sidewalks for a glimpse.
It is an exciting celebration of color and a delightful cacaphony of noise. |
